Although this is usually the final stage of the research programme : is the stage at which many supervisors and overseas student, : experience the ; greatest frustration. It is extremely difficult to produce original ideas of a high quality in your own language; it is much more difficult to attempt this in a foreign language.
You may feel -.by your lack of fluency in the written forms of English. Yet any overseas students who assumes that `the professor can correct the English in my thesis after I have written it' has a false understanding of the role of supervisor. Few supervisor Are prepared to spend time improving the inadequate style and expression of students. In some universities there may be special facility who can offer this assistance. If this help is not avaible you will be expected to cope with this problem yourself.
So a supervisor in an Australian university has many unexpressed expectations about the competence of his graduate may, because of cultural difference, different mother tongue different education, have particular problems in meeting these expectations and you may find little assistance is available but don't despair.
